View Full Version : Accessing an XSense MIH-130A Xrouter Pro from Lynx

I'm trying to access my router (an Xsense MIH-130A X-Router Pro) from Lynx.

The X-router has a password but there is no login name and no way to set one. When logging in from any graphical browser I tab past the login name to the password then type in the password. This gives me access to the router.

When logging in via Lynx, if I tab past the login name, it will not give me an option to enter the password. If I enter a space that of course gives a failed login because the login name is incorrect. I've tried the -auth=:••••• flag but that gets me nowhere.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this?

Thanks,
Hugh

hugh, perhaps double-quote null?

username: ""
pw: ••••

Great thought but no dice. Says in the manual that I need netscape 4 or higher. This is very annoying. I wonder why they don't use telnet or ssh like every other router.

Thanks,
Hugh

Neither Links nor Dillo will even get to the login page. I think this would work if I could get past the name requirement with Lynx.

As a follow up to links and dillo - both seem more full featured than lynx and possibly capable of the task at hand. Both fail at the resolution of addresses on my local LAN.

Would anyone know how they are resolving DNS and whether or not this is something that can be done on a local level?

Thanks,
Hugh
