Does anybody have a solution for network halts during MacOS 9 Sherlock searches on MacOS X server volumes?
It is a LAN switched environment , with a HP ProCurve 10/100/1000 switch, MacOS X Server 10.1.2, the clients are 904, 91 and 921 with all having the same effect that as soon you start the search on one machine all other client machines can not work for 2 or 3 seconds. As soon as the search is over everything is normal. Local searches are just fine and with AppleshareIP on an imac running OS8.6 before OSX was introduced there was no problem at all.
