Have a Powerbook Wallstreet with OSX installed. X works pretty well, an occasionaly kernel panic gets in the way, but over all, okay.

Was using a Skyline wireless PCMCIA card with OS 9.2.2. Worked great, but could not get OSX to recgonzie the card. At present there are no drivers for OSX.

I found this link on the Apple Dissucions forum and downloaded the driver.

Sourceforge (http://www.sourceforge.net) , search for prism .

It does the job, but it is part of the System Preferences and launches at log on.

I'm looking for a wireless PCMCIA card with drivers for OSX.

Anyone know if such an animal exists?

Thanks.

stefeb,

Thanks to Rob McKeever...!

because he started an open source project that is being run by himself and others that has produced a working PCMCIA driver that does work with OS X 10.1 and cards from Lucent/Orinoco/Agere, Farallon, Bay Networks, Cisco, Cabletron and others.

You can download the latest drivers from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/wirelessdriver

and information about the installation is here:

Good luck.

Cheers...
