This economy..., eh? Takes all the fun out of having Mac OS X; not getting much use out of it.
Any Mac OS X-friendly employers? Anyone need Mac OS X experts? This is the thread to let us know.
This thread is for swapping job resources and tips and leads. Okay, I have none, but thought I'd get the ball rolling.
Actually www.guru.com (http://www.guru.com) is good.
Reward for anyone that lands me a decent Mac/graphics/web/Flash job in the Boston area. :D

John, I'd be glad to hire you--if only I lived in the Boston area and had a job to offer you! ;)
It will be interesting to see how much of a market develops for Mac OS X-competent people. I wonder how valuable those certifications mentioned on Macfixit and other places really are?

I work at an auto plant and orders are up (for us at least)
Cost of living index is going down so my checks will get a little smaller.
We just installed a whole new production line to make a 2003 SUV.
All in all just ok for me. But job security looks good for the moment.
Biggest negative is 50 mile commute TO work.
Biggest plus only a hour from Silicon Valley Midwest.

personally, high taxes are why im poor... :(
I say create a 15% tax for everyone, across the board regardless of how much you make.
the govt will still make a killing, and I can keep more of what I earn in MY pocket.
And, I work for the govt.
simplify the tax system

And I thought my ten mile commute was bad...
Hey, if you want, my house needs to be cleaned. I'll pay you a dollar. :)

I got sick of looking for the right job so I... well, I hired myself actually. I formed my own company, which was taken over by my wife, so I'm just the hired help now.
Wages are good, I work for hugs and kisses, and I love the benefits! ;)

Does this mean if I come work for you I get paid by your wife in hugs and kisses? boy, that's going to be hard to itemize come tax time....not to mention explaining it to my own wife. :D

No, if you go work for RacerX you get paid in hugs and kisses from RacerX.
Which would still be difficult to itemize on your taxes, and would be even more difficult to explain to both of your wives.
