anyone who has problem with some old PS fonts (type 1)
Its Adobe fonts, they work fine in Mac OS 9.
But when i make em active in Suitcase 10, the font Prewiev works
fine. But then i wanna try them out in lets say Textedit, all i can see
its some number in my fontpanel. And when i deactived the fonts the number disappear so the fonts wont show up.

And when i try the samt font i Word.X the font show up with name and everthing but its jagged, and it wont print.

Where is the problem is it Adobe fonts not compatible with Mac OS X.
I think this is a Real Big problem when people on the Graphic side wanna
work with Mac OS X!!!

anyone got a clue whats going on?

Thanx
Mikael

I had the exact same problem and the only thing that helped me was a total reinstall. What a pain.

do all of the people in this thread with this problem use Suitcase 10? Or is it independent of that app?
I don't use suitcase 10 and am using a plethora of fonts of different types without problem, just wondering if that is the common denominator.

I thought Suitcase 10.1 would be the answer to all my problems. Turns out it displayed the fonts correctly in its preview pane, but I got the same awful result whenever I would try to use a font in an app. Cocoa apps got weird error numbers and I got nothing but jaggies with Carbon apps.

I wiped my disk and reinstalled, which solved this problem and other network-related problems I was having. Now I have a happy Mac--but I lost a good deal of my Saturday doing it.

You have to delete the Font Cache of OS X and restart (!) and your problem will be gone…
