There was a nasty DNS error that has been corrected but it will take a while for the fix to propagate through the various nameserver caches out there in television land.

Should be back to normal soon.

And we had a server soft-restart that ... didn't restart. It took them about 30 minutes to walk down and flick the power switch, so yes, it was down for a bit.

Today's is harder to figure out. It looks like a denial of service attack, but the traffic logs all look legitimate. We're (obviously) still investigating, so expect it to be up and down for a while yet...

We were down again for a while this morning (Jul. 25th). Rob describes what happened on the MacOSXHints.com front page.

Sounds like php and MySQL had a duel. Our uptime lost. :p
