hi ~! i am a long, long time user of pc's (ibmxt clone was my first)..and i am finally going to switch to the apple platform , even though i am sitting next to 3 pc's and a dell laptop that is just a year old.
the programs and platform are just not intuitive enough...i am planning to open a new office. i am looking for a good program suite that will have a relational database at it's core.
i don't know if i am in a suitable place to ask this question, so i apologize if this thread is out in left field or something.
i hope there are physicians, chiropractors, naturopaths, and others health professionals out ther who can recommend a sturdy, intuitive program.
sincerely,
jennifer

seems to be a pretty comprehensive guide. Note that most of the packages haven't yet moved to OS X, but will sometime soon.

A good option might be something built on Filemaker Pro, which is OS X native and has been for quite a while.

dear mithras, thanks so much..i looked at the link and will now spend some time going over in depth. i have seen filemaker mentioned as a base for a software package in windows. i will make that a point to look for since osx is based on unix, as you said.
sincerely,
jennifer :)
