I work in Vehical Design. Right now the standard work station is an HP, Silicone Graphics, Sun, and of course the dreaded PC. (I know there are probably more systems, but I can't name them all.)
What I'd like to see is Apple convice the Industry leading programs to run in OSX, i.e. SDRC i-Deas (Ford & Nissan), Catia (Chrysler & Boeing), Unigraphics (GM). These of course are the big hitters, and have the rest follow in place. The Auto Industry is looking for a way out of the costly Unix seats and moving into a cheaper Windoze environment. If Apple can port the Programs to Mac's and convince the Industry that Macs are a better choice than PC's for reliablilty, stability, functionality, and usability, I'm sure Apple can get back into the computer game.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me rant.
