I'm trying to search for hints regarding iCal, but unfortunately, it brings up any word that has those for letters consecutively within it. So I get almost 700 hits, most of which have nothing to do with iCal!
Is there any way around this problem???
Thanks,
John-o

Search for:
"_ical" or "_ical_", including the quotes, replacing the "_" with a space character (I used the underscore just so it was obvious). That forces a search for the exact text inside the quotes.
I found 128 threads...

But does this work for searching the Hints section of your site? I can't get quotation marks to work when I use the Hints search engine, but it seems to work in the forum.
Am I mistaken?

No, it doesn't. I have someone working on an enhanced search engine that fixes that glitch, along with others. I hope to have it installed soon.
Searching for iCal stuff on hints requires putting in additional context, like (no quotes) "iCal date" or "iCal event".
