Is there a way to assign a command to the function keys (F9, F10, etc.) I'd like to make one for copy, one for paste, etc. Yes, you're probably thinking I'm too lazy to do Apple-C for copy, but I'm wondering if it can be done - and for free.

Thanks

I know that the program Keyboard Maestro allows you to map the F keys to run copy/paste commands and a bunch of other stuff. Its pretty cool. I got it at VersionTracker.

You can do this for all Cocoa apps by creating a DefaultKeyBinding.dict file. See this hint (http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20010608085847818) for details.

We also have a thread on this forum discussing keyboard shortcuts in general that might provide some help. You can find it here (http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1065) .
