I have Palm 4.0b77 installed, connected via a Keyspan PDA adapter. This worked great up until Friday. As of Friday, no more Hot Synch. The connection box appears, but no connection is established. I've tried pulling and reconnecting the USB adapter (no joy), logging out and loggin in (no joy), and resetting the prefs for Palm (no joy).

Anyone have any ideas on what to try next? I believe this has happened to others as well, but I can't recall what the solution was.

thanks;

Check to make certain the Palm USB adapter is recognized by OS X. Use Apple System Profiler, under the Devices and Volumes tab.

If its there, then go to Palm Desktop, select Hotsync/Setup, and hit the disable, then enable radio buttons.

That usually does the trick for me.

Also, HotSync requires Transport Monitor running in the background. Use Terminal and the "top" command, and look for "Transport."

Good luck!
