I'd just like to note in passing the close of one of the cleverer Mac freeware developers of the past few years: <Stimpsoft> (http://www.stimpsoft.com/).

Thanks to John Schilling and his Real Basic prowess for such novel apps as:

Son of Weather Grok;
Solscape;
Albert;
iHam on iRye;
Snapperhead;

and others.

I'd suggest going to the site and downloading what looks interesting while you still can.
