Here's exactly what it says:

Classic Startup Failure
Classic startup failed to start due to an error [-1].

So what does this error mean and how can I fix it. Also, when I do bootup into OS9, I get an error that says it can't find a Mach Kernal #0. But it proceeds to boot as normal when I hit the cancel button in this error (IT is the only button available) and everything seems to work fine.

Try booting up in 9, selecting X as start-up, then rebooting in X.

Once booted in X, go to the Startup Disk preference and select the same system folder you use for classic. Don't restart, but save the setting. Then go to Classic and unselect, then re-select your Classic system folder. Save the setting, then try starting Classic and see if it works.

And go back sometime and change that Startup preference the way you really want it.

If that doesn't work, write back and tell us more about your set-up and how long you've been using OS X and Classic.
