This is very cool and ironic at the same time. On another forum (before this one started), someone kept insisting that no real "pro" work could be done in OSX. I said I had done the riverscape page entirely in OSX and classic, on deadline. well, here is this page (http://www.geocities.com/sparkythewonderpig/riverscape.jpg)

and it has garnered me two awards thus far: the best of COX award (newspaper chain), which pays 1,000 dollars (before taxes), and it just place in the AP ohio awards.

Not bad for something some people think is impossible.

the page was done using OSX 10.0 (before any updates), freehand 9, photoshop 5.5, a canon 650u scan.

heh.

note: you may have to refresh the page a few times for it to work, for some reason.

John, you are truly a gifted amateur. :D

PS - you need to do the page refresh because Geocities has some code to disable redirects from external sites. Seriously annoying, but I think they do it to protect their ad revenue.

great work.

I completely built an online store (http://www.joannehudson.com/) on osx PB - 10.0 with no problems. I think the excuses real work can't get done on OSX are starting to fade. True, illustrator is a dog, and photoshop is not quite here yet, but you can still get a heap done.
