Possible to change input focus mode in OS X ?

Ok, I know this is probably a RIDICULOUS request, but does anyone know if its possible to have the window you mouse over pop up to the front and have the input focus as in X window stuff? Just when I start getting used to not having to click back and forth on 2 term windows when I'm using Windowmaker, I'll switch back to Terminal.app and be stuck clicking. I know I'm probably asking for too much here, but just wanted to know if its possible. :D Thanks

look in the config file for the window manager you are using. I'm using fvwm2 on a solaris box and it's in .fvwm2rc.

Thanks for responding. Actually I meant while using OS X, not while using X Windows stuff :D The closest I can get is using command right or left arrow to switch between two terminal windows or using command tilde to cycle through term windows. I'd love to be able to just mouse over the window to bring it to the front though.

You aren't asking too much, unfortunately sloppy cusor control doesn't exist in Mac OS X, yet.

We need to let Apple know that we want this feature. Let them know here http://www.apple.com/macosx/feedback/. There are people out there who want this feature. If we all let Apple know we want this, we may eventually get it.

I prefer click to focus. The mouseover thing was popping windows to front all over the place. Now, I use my computer a little differently than others. I have the mouse in my lap, leaned way back in my easy chair. So when I lean forward to use the keyboard or grab the keyboard to type and put the mouse up, I would lose the focus I wanted. Also sometimes I just want the mouse out of the way.

Anyway mouseover focus is ok with me if its just a option. Just don't shove it down my throat.
