I just used that headline to promote response... :)

But seriously, I watched a friend of mine using Windows XP connect to a server via FTP, and the volume shows up right on the Windows desktop. No other FTP software is required, you can just drag and drop as if it were a local disk.

Now, I ask, why not for OS X? In fact, now that OS X plays so friendly with other systems, this seems like a logical step forward. I mean, you can connect via WebDAV through the finder. Apple, please add Finder-level support for FTP, SCP, and possibly even CVS.

...and it runs smoothly on Pentium 3 (Mine is the oldest 450mhz model+128 MB RAM), no need for P4.

I've read from many places that OS10 really..really need for a G4 to play and make sure you have 512MB RAM Installed.

For me this is a BUG, and i hope 10.2 fixed that...Still waiting for that G4 iBook..;)

btw> Read somewhere IBM has built 1000MHZ G3 CPU, why not APPle just use it for neXT iBOOK, couple with Nvidia GeForce440Go , it will be awesome.....of course, 1st fix the BUG!!

I don't experience any unacceptable slowness running OS X 10.1.3 on my 500MHz iceBook with 384MB of RAM. Yeah, the Aqua effects will spike the processor temporarily, and I wish it had more muscle for compiling, but other than that, it's just fine.

There's no "bug"...
