I am not very computer literate - but I am working with a G5. The previous computer (G4; mac OS 90
that I was laboring had enabled the mouse cursor to automatically reposition itself [warp] over the highlit option [usually the "save" option as opposed to the "don't save" or "cancel" options] of any pop-up 'save' window regardless of the application I was in [Word, Excel, Adob, Eudora et al]

I found this extremely convenient, and aggravating now that I don't have it.

How do I set the preference for this action in the G5?
Can anyone out there help me with this:confused:

There was no preference in the Mac OS to do this, you had a 3rd party extension of some kind installed (there have been a few) on your old system. And those used in OS 9 and before, no longer work with OS X. I think there is some software that will do this, but a quick search found nothing yet.

I would point out that if you just press return, the default action is completed, no need for some software to move the cursor to a default action (you still have to click the button, pressing return should be just as easy) That doesn't assist when you need to cancel or choose a different action. Perhaps someone here has a suggestion for you.

if your [x] turn on full keyboard access...

in dialog boxes with several button choices, tab will traverse the choices and spacebar will select the designated choice. perhaps this is only cocoa apps?
