Just out of idle 3-30am curiosity:

The new powerbooks are called TiBooks

The new iBooks are called iceBooks

The G4s all seem to have names ( Quicksilver, AGP, Yikes etc)

The iMacs don't, but there hasn't been much difference in that line, and the new iMac is still just "The New iMac" (Though I have heard flatPac used more than once...)

The old powerbooks had Lombards, Wallstreets et al.

...

So what about the old iBooks?

LOL!

I've also had the "bumperBook" suggested to me :)

Owning one, I was hoping for something a little less, well, comedy. Mind you, I probably shouldn't have bought one if that's what I was looking for :D

I've always thought of them as the Clamshell personally, though I like pursebook.

I just call them iBooks. :)

The old style: "clamshell" or "toilet seat"
The new style: "dual USB" or code name "marble" iBooks.

I'm fine with the name "TiBook"...

But I find myself bristling at the name "icebook"... maybe it's because when Apple released the "snow" CRT iMac, they didn't call it "ice"?... though I admit to never hearing the term "snowbook" before. Heh. Heh. ;)

To each their own. I'm just glad I have one!

Well, in Sweden they are generally known as "dasslock", which translates into toilet seat... :p
