I have a Linksys router set to DHCP, my mac address is outside the allowed port range with port 80 Forwarding set to that IP (on my OSX SERVER) I go to turn on Websharing in the Server Admin, don't know if i am doing it right I had it working whe it was in front of the router...mainlined. Am i missing something (obviously) I can access the internet on all boxes behind the router, even with the IP set to 192.168.1.110 Subnet 255.255.255.0 router is 192.168.1.1 and the dns set to the ISP dns.... (is that my trouble nooo....) What could it be?
I can be pinged at 192.168.1.110 from accross town, why is my index.html not coming out?

The way this should work is that an outside browser enters http://ip_address_of _router/index.html, where ip_address_of _router = the exterior IP address (which will not be 192.168.x.x, but a routable IP) and then the LinkSys should handle the internal routing of Port 80 (on the 192.168.x.x network) to the OS X Server.
DNS needn't enter into this at all.

Make sure that in the OSX Server Web Config, that the IP of the site is the machine's IP, and not the router's IP, make the "name" of the site is the a) router address, b) machine's IP, and c) localhost (for 127.0.0.1)
I've got a screenshot at http://www.macostraining.com/setup.jpg
I have it setup this way so I can access it from outside the router(a), inside the router(b), and using "localhost"(c).
