I run Mac OS X Server 10.1.3 and I want to start mysql.
I know there are some known issues but It's more or less a month that I get monkey with this MySQL server...
If I type /usr/bin/safe_mysqld --user=root & in the Terminal window, I get these errors:
[1] 7767
[localhost:~] myusername% touch: /usr/var/localhost.err: No such file or directory
chown: /usr/var/localhost.err: No such file or directory
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /usr/var
/usr/bin/safe_mysqld: no such file or directory: /usr/var/localhost.err [229]
/usr/bin/safe_mysqld: no such file or directory: /usr/var/localhost.err [235]
tee: /usr/var/localhost.err: No such file or directory
020413 14:53:58 mysqld ended
tee: /usr/var/localhost.err: No such file or directory

Please HELP!
Thank you
