opening a carbon app with classic??

hello all,

does anybody know of a way to force classic to open a carbon app instead of os 10 (carbon)? im having screen refresh problems with illustrator 10 in osx that make it unusable. im running os9 just because of it. want to try forcing it to run in classic but in os 10.

possible? thanks in advance.

Do a 'Get Info' on the app in the Finder and in the 'General Information' area there should be a checkbox that says "Open in the Classic environment."

doh! the app (illu 10) still opens in 10 now. if i try opening the actual app in the package, i get an error =(

not sure this will help, but is this occurring if you double-click a document, or when you choose a document from the save and open dialog? You may need to launch the classic Illustrator first, and select your files from the open/save. Hard for me to answer definitively since I don't have illustrator 10

no, its the app specifically, wont open in classic in os 10 period
