Appletalk while in Classic

Baseline info:
Powerbook G4 550mhz 512MB RAM 20G HD DVD/CD-R
OSX 10.1.4

I'm encountering a strangle problem w/Appletalk while in classic mode. It shows Appletalk active but can't see any of the zones nor any of the printer devices on the zones. I've looked at Apple's site and haven't found anything good. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this or a work around til Apple gets it's act together?

Yah.. Appletalk is active on OSX side... everything looks ok from there and works fine... I did see a post on Apple's site talking about appletalk not working in classic mode either... they talked about manually specifying the node number..
