In the Directory Setup utility I can choose to disable "LDAPv2". Unfortunately, after some time (I haven't figured out when exactly) it gets re-activated by the system. Is there a way to stop this?

Background: I'm acessing the internet through a DSL router that opens the line automatically during network activity and closes it again after some time. I found out that Mac OS X accesses the network very often, one of the reasons being LDAP to look for a server, e.g., before presenting an authentication dialog to the user. As I do neither have a flat rate nor a LDAP server, this behaviour is rather annoying.

Any help would be appreciated!
