I'm looking for advice from any of you who have checked out any of the books for OS X (The Missing Manual, Little Black Book, etc...). I'm looking for the most in depth book out there. Something that is aimed towards the more advanced users. Any suggestions?

Mac OS X Unleashed (John Ray, William C. Ray)

80 sample pages can viewed here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/books/0672322293/reader/1/102-2610713-3635324#reader-link)

This book is recommended by many Apple users.

I found The Missing Manual to be quite helpful and fairly in depth. I use it as a desk reference now.

Sonderpa is right! Go with 'Unleashed' if you want to get primariliy the *nix stuff. The ratio is 480 pages for the GUI, the rest of about 1430 pages devoted to all things Unixy. I skimmed the first, and had to slow waayyy down at page 480. I'm now on my second, rather more determined trip thru power-land. I may learn this stuff yet!
