Classic Clipboard Kills OS X Apps

If I copy text in a classic application and try and paste it into an OS X native application the OS X app freezes and won't respond at all, sometimes for several minutes after quitting classic. :mad: What could cause this? 10.1.4

Several minutes is a long time to wait. Why not force-quit the X app and restart it, then see if you can paste.

Have you got any utilties that add extra clipboards in OS 9 or OS X? That might be the problem if you do.

Nothing is in OS 9 to make it any different than your OS 9. No matter what I do it is absolutely impossible to copy text from a classic app an paste it into an OS X. There is no way around it. This is not to say I cannot drag the text the desktop and drag it into my X app, I'm saying that it impossible to put any classic content into the clipboard without it freezing ANY OS X that I'm able to paste into.
