Two things here...
Has anyone else had problems with the software update panel ignoring the preferences? I have it set for manual update rather than scheduled update but it still checks by itself. Trashing the prefs doesn't work. The ~/Library/Preferences/Software Update/SUUserPrefs.plist has two keys, AutoUpdate is a Boolean set to NO and UpdateInterval is set to 2, the highest number allowed, corresponding to monthly. The software update panel seems to be ignoring the AutoUpdate key. Any ideas?
Also, does anyone know how to set it so that it only runs when logged into an admin account? I have 10.1.1 set up on the family machine and some of the users (i.e. Mom :-) get confused when the computer starts doing things they don't expect!
Thanks!
