I must say OSX is the best OS I have ever used "good one Apple" :D
BUT i am still sad/mad:mad:
G3's on OSX
I have a G3 iBook 500mhz, 10gb & 384mb and I tell you i feel to break that dar... iBook up at times... (ok ok cool it) :)
I am running Vectorworks (yes it takes plenty CPU & Memory) also photoshop (not all the time) , IE, itunes and some smaller program...............and a G3 processor on an iBook or other wish is to GOOD.......a friend said one that the parts inside the iBook came from the "Cube" i believe him now.........NO TO G3 AND OSX----->> don't matter the memory NO
G4's on OSX
The processor is good BUT you really need memory nothing less than 512mb and a 20-30G HD because 1. there is too much wonderful software out there to have a small HD and less memory...THE G4 IS WHAt APPLE SHOULD USE TO PUSH OSX and BIGGER memory inside the machines............ I use a G4 at work 733mhz,896mb, 40g HD + 12G and 2 LaCie drives 10G + 30G and i find its still slow at times.
Maybe its all in the setup and where your software is located??????????????
Thats my take
