Anyone have the 2004-07-15 iPod Updater?

I've been trying to troubleshoot a problem with my iPod for a while now, and it looks like someone on the Apple discussion boards has managed to track the problem down to a dodgy firmware update. I only got my iPod and Powerbook a week ago, so all my software is the latest updater.

He says the last one that works correctly is the 2004-07-15 iPod Updater. Apple no longer allow you to download this from their site (you can find the page, but it just bumps to the latest download).

Does anyone have this that they'd be willing to upload somewhere? (I'm running an FTP server on my laptop if anyone would like) I remember there used to be an archive of previous iPod software, but Google is coming up with a dead link now.

I'm just curious as to what your problem is, and on what generation iPod you are having a problem?
