ipod on disk mode not recognized by itune or updater

Hi there, my ipod was showing a folder with a warning sign .So did all the steps mentioned in the support to reset by putting it on adaptor pressing menu and Play/pause till apple shows ..etc now i can read on the screen disk mode ,ok to disconnect with a big check mark in the middle of the screen. BUt I still can't see my ipod neithere under my computer ,nor in the updater or itune. BTW I have a pc with a windows xp .

The fact that the iPod reads "OK to disconnect" indicates that the drive was unmounted after updating. You need to disconnect and reconnect to mount it again. You may also have to re-enable mounting with the iPod utility.
