I have my iPod set up with disk use enabled and I want to change the ownership of a folder and its contents but it isn't working. I tried in terminal using:
sudo chown -R www tuolumne
But after this command the directory and all files inside it still belong to me not www. I tried changing ownership with the Finder by getting info but as soon as I change ownership it switches back to me. I also tried creating a folder on my startup disk and changing ownership on it and that worked fine, but if I moved it to the iPod the ownership would be changed to me.
So, is it just not possible to change ownership of files on an iPod? That would be unfortunate.
