View Full Version : How to undo Classic auto-startup?

This is embassassing... When OS X was new I read a tip about how to make Classic boot automatically on boot-up. Now, of course, the best way to do it is check the box in Classic preferences to boot it on startup. But I did it a different way. I think I may have used Terminal to add it to a boot sequence. I'd like to undo it.

Any idea what I did?

Clueless here.

You might try checking the permission to start-up on boot, then reboot. After doing so, uncheck the box and see if that undoes whatever you did before.

Also check your Log-in Preference to see if you didn't drag the Classic icon into the Log-in Items list.

Perhaps you added the Classic Launch app to your startup items list in the "Login" panel of your System Preferences.
