sharing itunes library

There must be some simple thing I need to do. I want to share playlists between users. What am I missing here?!?! :confused: :confused: :confused:

Did you check the "Share my music" and "Look for shared music" boxes in iTunes' preferences? Also, if you are using a firewall, you need to open the right port (3689).

it alows me to view and listen to the playlists, not actually change or transfer them

Thats all the 'Share Music' ability is. to copy the playlists over you need to set up a shared music library. There is a link to a site that has a very good tutorial somewhere on these forums. Try searching for "iTunes" and "Shared Music Library" or something like that. hope u find it :)
