I have a 4G 40Gb iPod. had it about 2.5 weeks now. (scratched already :mad: )
I have the backlight set to turn off after 2 seconds. I noticed yesterday that sometimes when I turn the hold switch on, it briefly shows the padlock, then unlocks again, even though the switch is still in the "Hold On" position (ie the orange is showing). I played with the switch for a few mins and what i determined is that sometimes when the switch isn't returned fully to the "Hold off" position then when its activated it cannot say with it on hold.
Could this be a software problem, or is it more likely to be a hardware problem (loose connection, bad contact, etc.)?
