a friend of mine has a new snow iMac. it came with OS X. he's a writer at an ad agency, and uses his mac to check email, surf, and work in microsoft word. he doesn't really know how to use it to it's fullest potential.
he has been having lots of problems with OS X, mainly because of the learning curve. also, there is the slow surfing problem on G3 iMac's with OS X.
i told him he should just go back to OS 9 to make life easier for him. it will be just like his computer at work, which he can use without a hitch. of course, he doesn't know how to do this, so i told him i would do it for him.
i have a couple of questions about doing this:
if i want the machine to boot off of 9, do i have to partition the drive? if so, can i keep all of his stuff that's already on there?
if i install 9 onto the same drive as X, can it startup from 9?
when installing 9, do i just do it as usual? (boot off of the 9 cd, and install)
any info would be appreciated-
