First, ill start off saying, i know - old school osx. But im travelling and staying with a friend and dont have the urge to update her computer.

Anyways, i plug my ipod in - 4G 20gb - all works fine, i add songs, edit stuff and just organize m ipod the way i like. i leave it plugged in to charge up at the same time fixing stuff on my ipod. then... BAM! itunes crashes, deletes EVERYTHING off my ipod (cept for my photos). i unplug, plug back in and nothing happens. the ipod mounts but itunes doesnt run. all itunes were messed - i updated to 4.7, found older versions for this oldschool OSX still doesnt run. the error i get is "application unexpectedly closed. other programs were not affected." - something to that extent, rather.

ive deleted everything itunes related. some files say i need root to modify. i have root, but i have NO IDEA how to work Terminal.

back to my question - i was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem and can help me out to get itunes working again. which would require - i think - to erase regisrty stuff for itunes and anything else that shows itunes was on here.

thanks for the help
cheers
phil.

I'll assume just by reading the same thread titles that this might be a crosspost? Well, except you're OS X 10.1.1 on one, and .2 on the other... Anyways, you can probably continue the thread on the other one. (http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=30567 )

As FireWire suggests; don't post multiple threads asking the same thing.

This one is closed.
