I have to use my scanning software through Classic. Classic has its own monitor and color sync settings. Couple these with OSX's monitor and color sync setting and I have no idea what I'm looking at!! Toss in Photoshop's color settings and I'm a mess! Pictures look one way in Classic Photoshop and they look completely different when I open them in OSX.

How can I simplify this. Can I disable the monitor and colorsync settings in Classic? How should I set up Photoshop 6's color settings if I can't access my OSX monitor profile from there? Is anyone else finding this to be a perplexing problem?

Thanks for ANY suggestions!

This is what I did:

1) Generated monitor profile using PhotoCal in OS 9 (booted to 9, PhotoCal no workee in Classic).

2) Reboot to OS X and dragged that profile to /Library/ColorSync/Profiles

3) Launched the ColorSync Utility (in my Utilities folder...not sure where it is by default) and ran Profile First Aid which fixes/updates the profile for OS X use.

4) Selected that profile in SysPrefs>ColorSync

One odd thing that I notice is that when I quit iTunes...the profile turns off during iTunes shutdown...my display gets noticably 'bluer' until iTunes finishes quitting.
