View Full Version : recommend an Apache book?

Of course it must have code examples compatible with the Mac OS X experience. Not tailored to X, but something I don't have to translate. Also PHP book if you know of one.

I'm thinking the 'standard,' Oreilly, but want some assurance before I spend $35 X 2.

well, you kinda hafta become a translator, at least at being able to map the filesystem structure. but the o'reilly books should be pretty vanilla in regards to the core facilities.

OSX is BSD filesystem structure with some oddities in some facilities. any book for these facilities would need some mapping, but apache and php are apache and php on any rig. the filesystem structure is abstracted out to the config files. me thinks.

i don't think you can go too very wrong with the o'reilly books, and i would be suspect at the other so-called 'bibles'. become a bit of a cartographer, it's good for your marketable skills.
