Be kind this is my first post (How Sweet).

Before I go out and buy the stuff, what do you clever people reccommend I`ve got to create a wireless connection from a Dell Dimension 8300PC with XP working as the host i.e. it`s the one near the modem first (It`s not my house) connecting to the Mac G5 in an upstairs room.

Then again, I haven`t even got the modem yet.
I told you it was the begining.

This week I should get a subscription for UKonline 1M broadband coming with an ethernet modem, after that I`m in the dark.?

Should I buy the Airport Extreme base station, the Express, a Router, a USB wireless card for the PC or just gaze at the G5 as a work of art and chic piece of kit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Get a wireless router:
http://www.macsense.com/product/broadband/wsr5000.html
or
http://www.linksys.com/splash/wrt54gs_splash.asp
or
http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=6

Then you can network the two computers (and add more) together as well as surf the web simultaneously and one doesn't have to be on for the other to have access.

Thanks for the Advice,

The XRouter Aero Plus seems just what I want.
Just one problem is it available in the UK, as all those links sites were in the USA.

I do feel like going to New York. ;)

Would suggest looking calling around stores to see if they have them in stock or can order them for you... Or most sites do have a way to search for "loca" retailers... Some will recommend places that will either ship anywhere or a local merchant that is an authorized reseller or through which they reccommend ordering their hardware.
