Seems silly to get all choked up about an old CRT display, but I was recently reminded of how much I just flat loved using my old Radius Pivot. I hardly ever used it in landscape mode, but it was just so darned cool that I could if I wanted to. And you want sharp? If that thing worked with any new hardware, I'd still be using it, in spite of the fact that it's a) twelve years old and b) gray scale.
Ahhh...

I've been quite happy with my Sony 400PS 19" CRT, but I'm counting the days for a sub-$1,000 LCD screen that will do 1600x1200. Probably not this year, maybe not next year, but it will happen. I love the text display on the flat panels, but I just don't want to give up resolution to get one.

Last week I picked up a ViewSonic 19 in. LCD and I must say that OS X appears truly brilliant with this monitor. I chose the ViewSonic over the Apple mainly because it has both an analog and digital input. Couple that with the additional real estate and 3 yr. parts and labor warranty for approx. the same $$ and it was an easy choice to make.

Viewsonic makes great CRT monitors. I bought a bunch for the agency I worked for a few years ago. Very nice. My current monitor is a Princeton EO90. Wish I could say it was as sharp as I'd like, but I got it for a song and its color balance works for me.
I have the the 22" LCD Cinema Display.
It's a lovely to use as you imagine it would be in your dreams. :D

Yea, but it still won't do 1600x1200! ;)
[I just had to say something to make myself feel better about my aging 99 pound Sony!]

Loving my LaCie electron19blueIII (http://www.lacie.com/products/product.cfm?id=BA3EFA23-AE91-11D5-97E30090278D3ED0), about 4 months old...1920x1080 max resolution and reasonably priced.

I love my Cinema Display on my G4 - having said that, my Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 920 (19" CRT) is nice to use to. And a *lot* cheaper. But it doesn't look anywhere near as good!!
