New to the site, my first post.
Just got my iMac G5 last night. OSX Panther. Can we get MacMame? Is it bad for the computer in any way? I used to have Metal Slug for my old G3 and it was awesome.. Thanks!

If you had it on your G3 why wouldn't you be able to get it on your G5?

Check this place out for all your emulation needs. As far as I know emulators don't go "deep" enough into the system to cause any trouble. The worst that could happen is an unexpected quit. So knock yourself out. Although I could NEVER get metel slug to work... Please get back to me if you figure it out.

Also check out macmame.org (though emulation.net should link to it). One thing to look out for is that some ROMs that play fine on older versions of MacMAME don't play at all on the more recent, which is a little baffling. I had to track down and install the first OSX-native version of MacMAME to get my beloved Gauntlet to play....

If a ROM won't play on a newer version, that usually that means that a better, more complete version of the ROM exists and is needed for the new MAME version.
