:( Accuweather Widget works fine for U.S., but what about the rest of the world? While Accuweather.com, offers weather prediction for the whole world (even my hometown), the Tiger Widget only displays US cities' weather...
Is there a way out of this (like manually changing the weather.js commands within the weather.wdgt ? Pls help as the weather widget is perharps the most useful one for me! :o

I have the same request. Larger locations in Canada are available, but my home town, which is available on Accuweather's Canadian site, is not available on the widget. The url variable below is in the parser.js file. I thought it might be the one needing changing to get more specific data from other countries.
var url = 'http://apple.accuweather.com/adcbin/apple/Apple_Weather_Data.asp?zipcode=';

Go to accuweather.com
- Click on World
- select your region
- enter your location.
move the mouse pointer over the resulting links and take a look at Safari's status bar where the target URL is displayed. Note down what is displayed in the parameter "zipcode". Use this as a location in the weather widget without the trailing semicolon.
For Zurich, Switzerland I need to use "EU;SW;Zurich". Works like a charm with all international locations supported by accuweather.

Yes, I tried Zurich and it worked for me too, but the link code for my town in Canada came up postalcode=N4N%201A1. This did not work, even though my town is available through the Canadian link on Accuweather.com

Thanks a lot for the hint, works great for Europe.
I am looking forward to have this fixed real soon now.
Even though the few towns up for grabs to pick your timezone are probably not where you live for real, it is extremely pitiful that such a nasty bug slipped through.
Apple literate enough to move from rendezvous to bonjour but still not getting that Paris, France has really different weather than Paris, ME ?
File lots of bugs to teach Apple that there are intelligent carbon-based life-forms outside the US !

Your city cannot be found under the "world" link that is used for this workaround. Try a city nearby.
Everything that can be found at accuweather under their world link should work as decribed above, because they are using exact the same type of parameter for all of them. When not available via the "world" link then this workaround will not help you.
I tried it with different Canadian cities. For example "CA;PQ;Montreal" and "CA;ON;LONDON" are working without any problems.
Poor choice on Apple selecting this service provider. There are far better ones out their.

hey thanks Scythe42, that really works! However, it was suggested to me on another forum, that you can have the same effect, writing eg. Ontario, Canada and press enter instead of clicking done! That also works! So kudos to everyone but Apple and Accuweather for making this (easily) possible!

Unfortunately the closest city that will work for me is at least an 80 km away. Due to being located near the Great Lakes, weather 80 km away is often quite different. There can be blizzards with road closures on the lakeshore and light snow where I live.
Hopefully Apple will eventually have a solution for non-world locations.
Thanks for the suggestions.

I am able to use Accuweather widget for Santiago, Chile, but weather prediction lefts much to be desired. I know this is not exactly Apple related, but temperatures are always wrong (-2 celsius degress predicted almost everyday when here temperature rarely goes under 5 degrees), and predictions for snow and rain while sunny days are the real thing. I think I should send Accuweather a feedback!

This does not work for Brussels. Doing as you explained resulted in the following ZIP-code:
EUR;BE;-;BRUSSELS;
This does not work at all.

Try entering Brussels and instead of pressing done, press Enter and wait some seconds, until the validation process has ended. Then there should appear "Brussels, Belgium" and after pressing Done you should get your weather.

I've tried both! (entering my city; Seville, Spain; which shows up on the accuweather.com website!!!) and the zip code ("EUR;ES;-;SEVILLE") and neither works.
Everything was fine until the beginning of this week. Has something changed? Anyone else having similar problems?

same thing happened to me, but i entered Brussels again and hit enter and it came up, but then i flipped the widget back to check the weather and it was still on Atlanta's. I flipped back and it couldn't se Brussels. doesn't matter much anyway, the weather was pretty off the last week when it worked.
