 Can anyone help me?

Long story short. Bought an ipod, didn't read the full user manual because I'm a stooge. Downloaded ALL my music from my computer (like 600 songs) to my Ipod, deleted them all off of my computer.

I had ZERO idea that they would now be permanantly (apparently) "trapped" in my ipod!! Is there ANY way to copy them back onto my computer?! The only files it lets me copy are .m4a files... (presumably "official" itunes files).

I have Windows, and have found a program for Mac to help, but not for Windows. Please don't hate, I'm just looking for help...

Thank you to any one who can assist me!!

Go to the forums on iPodlounge (http://www.ipodlounge.com). I've seen a number of programs like you need talked about there.

Also, when looking for Windows support, it's best to go to a Windows site. This is a Mac site. If you want support here, buy a Mini and download something like iPodRip or Rip To iPod.

Basically, download "PodUtil" for the mac onto your Ipod and find someone with a Mac ;)

Use PodUtil to grab all the songs off onto the Mac, and then copy them back to the Ipod.... Not through Itunes, but just in 'Disk' mode.... then you'll be able to grab them off onto you PC again.

Obviously, there may be an app for the PC like PodUtil.

try this http://www.copypod.net/ You need to make sure that you do not allow iTunes to snyc with your Pod before you transfer, if it does it will erase the music that is not in your library. To do this in copypod open copypod before plugging in your pod. Press the "force detection" button. This is shown in a short video on the copypod site from the above link.
