HELP!

I got a new 20gig ipod yesterday. I tried to format it for PC first to make it cross compatible. Now it doesn't show up on either mac or PC! ipod seems to be ok, but cannot connect to ANY cpu. Any suggestions? I'll be happy to restore it, but without connecting it, I can't make that happen! HELP!

Does it show up in System Profiler or Disk Utility?

No to both. The machine just keeps searching in both. I think I'm ****ed.

Apple has a FAQ page about iPod troubles - have you looked at that?

Otherwise, you should phone Apple about this.

I had an issue this weekend with my iPod mini. All of a sudden, iTunes would not see it when I plugged the iPod into the USB port on my laptop. I finally found a link that showed how to reset it and put it into disk mode. As soon as I did that, Windows started seeing it again. Check this link...
