Extract Playlists

I formatted my machine for Panther and backed up all my music but I forgot two very important things, the iTunes Playlists and my bookmarks. I think my bookmarks are gone for good but i still have my iPod which still has the playlists that I want. I found /Volumes/myiPod/iPod_Control/iTunes and a binary file called iTunesPlaylists that I can not open.

Is there a way to get the playlists from the iPod? Thanks in advance.

try looking at pod rippers such as PodWorks or iPodRip. I think either of these will bring back playlists, but I am not sure. If they don't I am sure there are plenty of programs out there that will.
