So, I am at work and I haven't even gotten home to open the box my ipod Mini was just shipped in.
I had Bad Mother****er. etched into it from Apple. Yes, putting a period at the end bypasses the thing that doesn't allow curse words. An homage to Pulp Fiction.
Anyway... here are my questions for my Bad MF:
Should I auto sync or manual sync? How do I choose which?
I have a friend with an iPod and iTunes. How can I get songs from her iPod (or iTunes, whichever is easiest) to my iPod or iTunes? Of course I am just curious from a technical aspect. I'm not trying to steal songs! Thanks, y'all!

Suuuure. Please don't ask about this.
As for syncing with your own computer and iTunes, I prefer manual sync. There's some stuff in my iTunes library that I don't need/want on my iPod. So I prefer to move my own data to the iPod. Besides, I have a 1Gen iPod. My iTunes lib is 4x the size of my little iPod.

I had to back a friends music collection up to my iPod (to upgrade to Tiger, was the only disk large enough for it.) Mount your iPod, hold cmd + alt until iTunes displays the iPod, then make sure it is manually sync'd, then drag the songs from the music library across to the iPod just as if it was your own iTunes.

Awesome! Thanks, buddy.
But what's "mount the iPod" mean?
