Vote's in a poll != new post.

Is it possible to have threads with polls show as "new posts" only when someone actually replies in the thread?

yeah, i gotta whinge a bit here, too. poll results aren't very interesting/valid to me but some of the comments are.

counter measure: one way is to subscribe to polls that you might be interested in to cut down the chaff confusion.

but when someone comes to the boards and blitzkriegs the polls without leaving comments, it sure pollutes the new posts list.

We've looked into this one before and I don't think Rob was able to find a way to do it.

Polls are one way that people who won't leave a comment can at least leave something of a preference indication. Granted, it's not a scientific survey, but it does say something about what our visitors are into.
