External modem

I am using a beige desktop G3 and am trying to find out if my external Global Village modem will work under OS X. There doesn't seem to be a GV script for X that I can find. Is a script installed as part OS X and is it part of the modem setup?

I have these modem scripts listed in /Library/Modem Scripts:

Global Village 28.8-K56
Global Village Gold/Silver/Merc
Global Village Platinum/Gold II
Global Village x2
GV flex/V.90
GV x2/V.90

These are the ones that came installed with the system, I believe. At the very least, I haven't added them through any concious effort on my part. Are any of these the right ones?
