I know I am not supposed to disconnect my iPod mini from my iBook w/o "ejecting" it first. But i've noticed that if I leave my iPod connected to my iBook and close the iBook so it goes to sleep the iPod seems to be "ejected" - at least the "Do Not Disconnect" sign goes away. Should I "eject" the iPod before putting my iBook to sleep, even if I want it to continue charging?

If this is normal, then is it OK to disconnect the iPod while the iBook is closed - I mean w/o opening the iBook and "ejecting"?

Thanks!

If you disconnect it whilst the iBook is asleep then wake the iBook without it attached the iBook will flag up "device disconnected" error.

No you don't have to eject it before sleeping the 'Book but you do have to eject it if you want to disconnect it.

[I think - my powerbook never sleeps so whenever my mini is attached I always have to eject it]
