Play iPod-shuffle mp3-files from iTunes.

When I connect my iPod-shuffle to my iBook, iTunes starts and ask me if I want to update the iPod with my default library. This I say no to, because otherwise my songs from my iPod will be deleted, as I am on another computer then the one I created my library on.

How do I play the songs from the iPod?

what exactly is preventing you from playing the songs? the ipod should appear on the source list on itunes on the left. just select it and it will list the songs you have on it and you can play them.

The shuffle is strange in that it doesn't appear in iTunes unless its assigned to that computer. I think thats what happens anyway, only ever attached mine to another mac once...
