iTunes Error message: Not enough room on IPOD SHUFFLE

I own a newer iPod Shuffle (1GB model). Just recently I encountered a problem while trying to load a playlist of songs. iTunes seems to think that nearly 800MB of space on my iPod is used (unavailable) and treats the unit as a 130MB volume, period. I have tried setting and unsetting the 'Disk Use' feature as well as trying to load songs from different playlists and even doing the random fill-up option from my entire library. Unfortunately my iPod/iTunes still thinks there is only a few hundred MBs of space available. Anyone had a similar experience or know how to format/flash the Shuffle to reset it?

Restores the iPod to factory settings, which worked around the problem I was having. So, just FYI.

You can the iPod Updater (http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/) to reset it.
